Getting a task
Talk to the Slayer master at home, take the gems for whichever tiers you've unlocked, then right-click a gem for a task. Tiers unlock in this order:
- Normal Slayer — available from the start
- Blood Slayer — unlock cost TBC
- Boss Slayer — unlock cost TBC
- Galactic Slayer — Mithril Trophy + 3,000 Slayer Points
Normal Slayer
Do Normal Slayer tasks while you grind — every on-task kill gives Slayer Tokens, spent on Slayer gear via Ctrl+U → Slayer. Cheap and good from early to late game.

Blood Slayer
Unlock cost: TBC. cb's guide gives a specific Slayer Point figure for this, but it looks like a pre-reduction value and isn't published here — check in-game for the current cost.
Blood Slayer tasks drop Bloodbags, Blood Slayer Tokens, and Blood Slayer Points. 10,000 Bloodbags make 1 Blood Slayer Key, opened at ::chests. It's a strong source of early money.

Blood Tree
Spend Blood Slayer Points on perks in the Blood Tree. These perks apply to Blood Slayer only — not a general damage increase, despite older wiki text describing it that way.
Boss Slayer
Unlock cost: TBC, for the same reason as Blood Slayer above — check in-game for the current cost. Open Boss Slayer through the Slayer skill interface.

Galactic Slayer
Unlocks at Mithril Trophy + 3,000 Slayer Points. Drops materials for Galactic Slayer gear and weapons.
