Choosing a game mode
New accounts choose a game mode at creation: Normal, Ironman, or Group Ironman. Ironman characters can't trade with other players. Treat that as the one confirmed difference between modes — don't assume there are no others.

The starter zone
Every new account starts in the starter zone. If you teleport away before finishing it, ::starter takes you back — finish its missions before moving on.

- 5x Sirenic Predator
- 10x Hellfire Wizard
- 15x Noxious Troll
- 20x Killing Machine
- 30x Shadow Eyes
- 50x Shadowlord
Right-click your necklace and select Operate to send loot straight to your bank instead of your inventory.

Training Prayer at the altars
Once you're out of the starter zone, head to ::altars and train Prayer with the bones you started with. Aim for 60 Prayer — that unlocks every prayer currently available. Metabolise Burning Bread gives a small Soul Split-style heal while you train; switch to a protection prayer instead if you're dying too often.

Global bosses and your first Bonds
Check the Quest tab for global bosses — they're an easy source of early Bonds, so kill them whenever they spawn. Ask in Clan Chat (CC) if you need help; higher-DPS players will often join in.

Claim your Bonds as you earn them. Reaching a Bonds-claimed threshold unlocks ::bank — the exact number is TBC. Donator Rank thresholds are known to be expressed in Bonds claimed rather than dollars (see Character Power), so treat any dollar figure for this specific unlock as unconfirmed until checked in-game.

First Donor Shop buys
Home has a Donor Shop, run by an NPC that looks like a green frog. Two buys worth getting immediately: Eternal Potion (a damage boost, 100 points) and Unlimited Prayer Scroll (20 points).
